Let’s be real, Insomniac absolutely nailed the feeling of being Spider-Man. If you’ve ever wanted to just shut your brain off and swing through NYC, this is the gold standard. The Breakdown: • Gameplay is King (5/5): The traversal is easily the best part of the game. Web-swinging feels fluid, fast, and satisfying. You don’t even want to use fast travel because just moving around the city is a blast. Combat is snappy, heavily inspired by the Arkham series but with that unique Spidey flair—using gadgets and the environment feels super rewarding. • Visuals & Performance (4/5): New York looks stunning. The attention to detail on the suits and the way the light hits the skyscrapers at sunset is top-tier. It’s a polished experience that really shows off what the hardware can do. • Story & Vibes (3/5): The story is solid, but it definitely hits some familiar beats if you’re a long-time fan of the webslinger. It’s a great Peter Parker story, though it stays in the "safe" zone for a superhero plot. Same goes for the music—it’s epic and cinematic, but maybe not something you’d keep on your playlist outside the game.
